Nationwide distribution of feature films across all right, from theatrical to ancillary. We target to acquire between 60-80 titles per year.

TV / Film Development

Development of long form tv series and feature films; including the procurement of IP and adaptive properties.

Originally from Cartago, Colombia, Mark Sonoda was raised and educated on the sunny shores of Miami, Florida. After studying business administration and international marketing at the University of Connecticut, Mark returned to Miami to earn his BA in Film Production / Screenwriting from Miami International University. His career within the film industry began during his college years, in the world of music videos and commercials. Mark quickly emerged as a solid line producer, which earned him the opportunity to work with some of the industry’s leading commercial / music video directors. In 2001, he took a post in feature film development and production in New York City, New York. In 2003, after working on over a dozen feature films, Mark left NYC to serve as production consultant for Warner Brothers International in Australia and Romania. After completing his tenure with WB and returning stateside, he joined the development team at Eclectic Pictures, a production company of Millennium / Nu Image Films. After working on Bobby Z (Paul Walker, Lawrence Fishbourne & Olivia Wilde), My Mom’s New Boyfriend (Meg Ryan, Antonio Banderas & Colin Hanks) and over two dozen other pictures over his tenure, Mark left Eclectic and created Red Shogun Pictures, a new production company dedicated to producing privately financed, independent motion pictures. Since founding RSP, Mark has been involved in the financing, production and distribution of over 20 films. In the summer of 2011, Mark establish R3 International, a vertically integrated entertainment company, which merged with RSP. In 2014, Mark founded Dauntless Studios, an independent distribution company that acquires feature films and provides turn-key film distribution to independent filmmakers seeking to break away from the standard studio model.

Brent works with Mark to manage the planning, delivery and successful execution for each of our partner film projects at Dauntless Studios. A native of the Midwest, Brent grew up in Missouri and graduated from Northwestern University on the North side of Chicago. He started his professional career at Deluxe Video Services, and spent the past 15 years helping companies across varied industries put structure and standardization around their core business processes. Brent now brings his experience in successful operations management to Dauntless Studios.

A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Annika began her film career in 2014 working for R3 International. In a short period of time, she rose through the company ranks and was heading up marketing / sales for the company’s film catalogue. In 2015, she join Dauntless Studios as Head of Technology, while also serving as an acquisition executive.

In 2016, she join Dauntless Studios as an Acquisition Executive, while also serving as a film festival acquisition specialist and technical advisor.
